Cala Salada- a beach defiantly worth a visit. This beautiful beach is located near San Antonio with crystal clear water and authentic fishing huts, it is extremely popular with locals and tourists. We spoke to a local lady who gave us some top tips on making this day successful. She told us DO NOT GO ON A SUNDAY, as this is the day when the locals tend to go so it's even more busy than regular days. Another piece of advice was that if you don't get there before 10 o'clock it's just not worth going as this beach gets extremely busy (I've literally never seen anything like it) the reasons for getting down there that early are so you can get somewhere to sit and grab a parking space. If your not in the car park just above the beach it's about a 20 minute walk to the other car park and with all your beach gear in the heat of the summer does not sound to appealing to me. If you follow the above then your in for a treat, this beach has a great vibe to it, with the girls parading the beach selling kaftans and trendy hippy outfits , to the people making fresh cocktails and bringing them to you. On one side there is a great little restaurant which does lovely paella but be sure to book as it's the only restaurant on the beach and with the amount of people visiting what can you expect. The rocks which are in the middle of the beach are great for cliff jumping in to the water, and if you can't find somewhere to sit on the beach then there are a few places on these cliffs.

So this week my mum,dad and twin sisters have been with us in Ibiza it was their first time on the island, they all really seemed to enjoy it. We took them to a few beaches around the island ;Cala D'hort, Aqua Blanca,Siesta Beach Santa Eularia and Portinatx Beach) they came to the conclusion that Portinatx was their favourite as it was pretty quest compared to others we visited. The island can get pretty busy this time of year so getting a spec on the beach can be tricky f it popular. One of the things high on our agenda was watching the sunset at Cafe Mambo as my mother was intrigued in what all the fuss was about. The sunset was beautiful it was just a shame about the security guard being a very strange full of himself little man. I think one of the highlights was defiantly the boat trip we went on one evening. Jumping off the boat in to the sea and snorkelling in the evening sun was fabulous. Watching the sunset from the boat was so peaceful.My Sisters discovered frozen yoghurt in Ibiza town and are now hooked (they just wouldn't shut up about it). So all in all a fabulous week, my family have gone back home now an it's just me and Tom for the rest of the month. I'll miss them a lot but hopefully the sun will heal my wounds. 🌞🐚🐝
